They are the backbone of our communities, yet they are being crushed by Washington’s taxes, regulations, rising Obamacare costs, and the inflation caused by Biden’s reckless spending and the Green New Scam. As a businessman himself, Steve understands firsthand what it takes to build something, meet a payroll, and navigate the bureaucratic nightmare Washington has created for the little guy.
The single best thing Washington can do for small businesses is get out of the way. Steve will fight to cut taxes, cut regulations, and stop the spending that drives inflation. He supports making the 20% pass-through deduction for small businesses permanent, so they don’t face higher tax rates than their corporate competitors. He will fight to protect community banks that serve Wyoming’s rural communities and oppose any federal minimum wage mandate that ignores local economic conditions.
Steve will also work to reform the Small Business Administration to prioritize genuine small business lending, rather than bureaucracy and political favoritism. He aims to make health care more affordable for small business owners by cracking down on healthcare monopolies that benefit from the current system. Wyoming’s small business owners don’t need handouts; they need Washington to get out of the way.
