Steve is strongly pro-life. He believes life begins at conception and that every human life has inherent value. The Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision was a landmark victory for life, correctly returning abortion policy to the people through their elected representatives — where it belongs under our Constitution.
Steve will oppose any legislation that mandates abortion on demand nationwide, eliminates state pro-life laws, or forces taxpayers to fund abortion. He supports strong pro-life protections with common-sense exceptions for rape, incest, and to protect the life of the mother. He supports a federal limit on late-term abortion and will always vote to defund Planned Parenthood.
Steve also believes that being truly pro-life means supporting women facing difficult pregnancies. Most abortions result from unintended pregnancies, and many women, especially young women, feel they have no other option. Women deserve better. Steve will fight to strengthen the safety net through adoption support, maternal care funding, and community resources, so that more women feel empowered to choose life. Real pro-life policy means compassion for both mother and baby.
