Friess Launches Statewide TV Ad: “Keep Your Money in Your Pocket”
Wyoming conservative businessman takes on Washington spending, taxes, and high prices in latest television buy of his congressional campaign
CHEYENNE, WY — Steve Friess, Wyoming businessman, conservative activist, and Republican candidate for Wyoming’s at-large U.S. House seat, today launched his third statewide television ad. The spot, titled “Too Much,” runs on broadcast and cable across Wyoming.
The ad opens with a question Wyoming families are asking every day: why does everything cost so much? Friess gives a direct answer — politicians tax too much and spend too much. Speaking straight to camera as a businessman who knows the value of a dollar, he makes the case that government can balance a budget the same way Wyoming families and small businesses do.
“People ask me, ‘Why does everything cost so much?’ It’s simple. Politicians tax too much and spend too much,” Friess says in the ad. “As a businessman, I know the value of a dollar and how to balance a budget. In Congress, I’ll tighten government’s belt. We’ll cut out waste and fraud and keep taxes low.”
Friess also points to American energy production as a direct way to bring costs down. More energy means everything costs less — from gas to groceries — and Wyoming is positioned to lead the way. The ad closes with the campaign’s core promise: “I’m Steve Friess, and I approve this message, because I want to keep your money in your pocket.”
Friess is running as a political outsider in the Reagan-Trump tradition, drawing on his record as a businessman and longtime conservative activist. He has made creating jobs, cutting wasteful spending, lowering taxes, and unleashing Wyoming energy central to his campaign. The ad begins airing statewide this week.
